Description:
Game Design and Animation using Scratch: Ages 9-12

This camp is designed for students to take their Scratch skills to the next level. Students will build upon the concepts of Coding Camp for Beginners or CCS elementary coding clubs to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of coding (computer science) using Scratch. Students will work in collaborative groups as well as independently to create interactive games or animations. There will be a student showcase the last day of camp to highlight student projects. General Registration Information:
Register early! Many classes fill up quickly. Please register at least one week in advance so we can make class enrollment decisions. Registrants are contacted ONLY if the class is full or canceled. The most common reason for a class being canceled is low enrollment. If we cancel a class you will receive a full refund or may transfer to another class in the current semester. Clarkston Community Education reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient registrations.

Funding: Community Enrichment programs are funded entirely by class fees. Any classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment requirements may be canceled.

Preregistration is required for all classes. Preregistration is required for all programs. NO drop-in registration on the day of the class will be offered.

Drops/Refunds: Please read carefully before registering for a class. Full refund will be given if class is canceled by the office. Student request refunds must be made prior to the beginning of the second class, regardless of attendance. All student requested refunds will be charged a $10 processing fee. The cost of materials cannot be refunded. No refunds will be issued for classes/events meeting once or twice unless requested two business days in advance of starting date.

Payment: cash, check (made out to Independence Township), Visa or MasterCard

Inclement Weather/School Closing: When Clarkston Community Schools are closed, all Community Education classes will be canceled. We will attempt to make up all classes.
