YS17-E10    The Power of Drawing     CCE Summer - 2017

Description:
The Power of Drawing: Grades K-5

This summer “The Power of Drawing!” will take you to exciting places, spaces, and other worlds with specialized, themed workshops. Children will explore fine art, graphic design, and cartooning, using pastels, colored pencils, design and color markers to learn valuable foundational drawing skills. Throughout the week, we will be drawing from each of these specialized workshops: “Dinosaurs and Dragons”, “Video Game Pixel Block Characters”, “Africa’s Wildest Creatures”, “Exploring Ocean Life”, and “Anime Cartooning” are some of the workshop themes designed to thrill and motivate your child's sense of creative observation and enlightenment. All students will build a weeklong portfolio and have the opportunity to exhibit and discuss their work at the week’s end. Watch out….the Big Pencil is coming! Program Director: Kathy Baker
