Maker Girl Engineering Camp

Clarkston High School’s Young Women in Engineering and Maker Girl Mania present "Maker Girl Engineering Camp"! It is designed to give young girls the opportunity to find out what engineering is all about! Camp includes real women engineers as guest speakers, experiences using hand tools as well as focusing on projects and problem solving. Participants will have a variety of team projects where they will have to use engineering skills they learn to solve real-life, exciting challenges! Explorations may include discovering how things work, building a toy, learning about solar power, coding and robotics. This camp will be packed full of learning, teamwork and fun! Camp T-shirt included. Please include size when you register (YS, YM, YL, AS, AM, AL). Please drive around to the back of the building and go in the entrance after Funshine. General Registration Information:
Register early! Many classes fill up quickly. Please register at least one week in advance so we can make class enrollment decisions. Registrants are contacted ONLY if the class is full or canceled. The most common reason for a class being canceled is low enrollment. If we cancel a class you will receive a full refund or may transfer to another class in the current semester. Clarkston Community Education reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient registrations.

Funding: Community Enrichment programs are funded entirely by class fees. Any classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment requirements may be canceled.

Preregistration is required for all classes. Preregistration is required for all programs. NO drop-in registration on the day of the class will be offered.

Drops/Refunds: Please read carefully before registering for a class. Full refund will be given if class is canceled by the office. Student request refunds must be made prior to the beginning of the second class, regardless of attendance. All student requested refunds will be charged a $10 processing fee. The cost of materials cannot be refunded. No refunds will be issued for classes/events meeting once or twice unless requested two business days in advance of starting date.

Payment: cash, check (made out to Independence Township), Visa or MasterCard

Inclement Weather/School Closing: When Clarkston Community Schools are closed, all Community
Education classes will be canceled. We will attempt to make up all classes.
