Clarkston Community Garden

All food grown in the Clarkston Community Garden is donated to local food banks, Lighthouse North in Clarkston and Gleaners Food Bank in Pontiac.  In 2012, over 11,000 pounds of food was donated and over 2400 volunteer hours were logged within our seven month growing season.

The Clarkston Community Garden is located just past Stickney Road off of Pine Knob on the Northeast corner.  Driving Directions:  From I-75, take the Sashabaw Rd Exit, north towards Clarkston Road.  Make a right on Clarkston Road.  Make a left on Pine Knob Road.  The Garden will be just past Stickney Road on the right.  Go slow, the entrance is not very well marked!

Garden hours are Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 9am-Noon.  To volunteer, just show up!  If you would like more information on volunteering, please download a Garden Volunteer Form, by clicking Forms and Flyers (to the right).

Donate your time!  Garden volunteers at Bittersweet Farm will benefit from the expertise of Jim Tesnar, horticultural professional and former marketing manager for ten years at Bordine's Nursery.  Jim is also the garden advisor at the McCord farm garden, where gardeners will have a groundbreaking opportunity to help nourish the needy through their activity at this historic community resource.

Make a financial contribution!  Download a sponsorship form by clicking forms/flyers on the left.  This form will have donation and mailing instructions.
